Baidu connection?

Tho a near Luddite myself, I became curious recently when I repeatedly spotted
Baidu at bottom of forum page 'who's online'.  An internet search for Baidu only
increased my curiosity.  Why, I wondered---or WHO---visits this forum via Baidu?
(I've linked below one cautionary tale re use of skype, for those who may use it.)

Anyone care to shed light on this Baidu presence?

Among the many global infrastructure projects the Chinese are engaging in is a rebuild of the historic Silk Road. That would be an epic van dwelling route, no doubt!
