Steam-in-bag frozen vegetables, not the ones with sauce.

I, personally, find bacon in the microwave very good, it is convenient, I can use my favorite brand, it doesn't spatter grease, and it cooks while I make coffee and do the eggs.
Sometimes i will cook scrambled eggs in the microwave, but while good they are not great. Just not greasy.

I do avoid processed food, it is as good as poison.

I always wait until I have an opportunity to cook outdoors for bacon. Then, it's open season. Bacon, burgers, you name it... get it all done and packed away in refrigerated ziploc bags to use during the week.
Has anyone heated refrigerated food on sunlight alone?

wanderingrain yes I have warmed things in the sun in a sealed zip lock. burritos, tamales, and beef jerky works good this way. doesn't make the food hot just warm. dash board works good for this. have also heated food up on the engine this will make it hot. there is a company in Oregon that makes a manifold cooker. you attach it to your exhaust manifold put your burrito in and in a little while you have a hot burrito. here's a link http://flat-o.com/snowmobile/hotdogger.htm . highdesertranger

Back in the 70s, I had a friend that built a manifold oven. He buy a pizza, pop it in, drive to the lake and have hot pizza when he got there. It was pretty awesome.

I've tried cooking bacon using the oven, the microwave, a pan with those no-spatter screens.... the only way *not* to get spatter and to get good flavor, is to cook it outside in a frying pan. But it's so unhealthy we seldom eat it. It's a rare treat for us when camping.
