Not sure if this is the spot to ask but.....
I have "residency" in AZ. Driver's license, an address. I'm "in" CA. No judgements please, lol! If I buy a vehicle that is owing in back registration fees in CA, but I'll be registering it in AZ, do I have to pay the CA fees? I've tried doing a search on this. I seem to run into dead ends, old info, not pertinent.
It would be really fabulous if I could not have to drive it to AZ to do the transfer and registration, but that would probably be asking too much. The truck from hell that I own, I bought it in AZ and DMV didn't even come out to look. So, what if the vehicle is carrying AZ registration?
I'm exploring all my options. I may sell the hell truck, Found out I might get enough for it to not cause me as much anxiety over how much I'll be losing.

I called my brother out there to ask him just that. He said those are California "state" fees, not Federal, so you shouldn't have any problem transferring to Arizona. He said lots of folks are doing it just for that reason.
