I apologize if this has been discussed before, but I did try a few searches first. For those with grey/black tanks, I'm curious how often you dump your tanks (along with your tank capacity) and the average cost each time you dump? How much do you budget for it? How often do you find free dump stations (if at all)? TIA.

Annual National Parks Pass gives you access to the dump stations, water, trash dumptsers and some even hot showers in park's campgrounds even if not camping in most areas we travel staying on BLM land nearby.

Dump frequency depends on many factors. When I had a 10 gallon black tank and 20 gallon grey tank, I dumped approximately weekly. A friend with the same thing dumped every third day. Now I've got 38 gal black, 80 gal grey, I can go nearly a month if I'm careful.

Many municipal dump stations are free. There are also rest areas and gas stations that have free dumps.

We've been paying $25 to dump here in this part of Maine, & that's the closest dump to us!  I can go farther & use a state park for $20 but the closer is better deal. We've been stretching the black tank to 8 days, we have a Forest River product so we've no idea on the black tank size (Forest River paperwork is almost nonexistent). The Belfast, ME city sewage plant has dumping for $10 but the curb (to put the hose over) is higher than my outlet.
Down in Quartzsite dump & water (29') was $14 at the Pit Stop.

Free (with the pass) dumps in National Parks are great and there are rest stops around with free dumps.

The freecampsites.net app has dump stations listed on it, I've been using that a lot.
