Are these the right batteries?

Sorry for all the questions but this is all new to me. I've read a ton of battery threads and my head is spinning. Will a pair of these be what I need for a Renogy 200-400W kit?

A Renogy kit will work with those batteries.  A completely different question is will a pair of those batteries do what you need?  Depending on your use and location a Renogy kit may or may not be adequte to meet the recharging demands of your load.

400 watts would be a good match, 200 watts would be a bit short in my opinion. A lot depends on how much power you will use too.

The only issue with "matching" panels to batteries is capacity ratio.

But even that is just a ballpark "rule of thumb", which greatly varies depending on how reliable bright sunshine is where you travel.

As long as

you take out less than you put in

you could have a bank of 20 of those (excellent quality and value BTW) batteries, no problem - other than space, weight and cost .

If you don't have the knowledge and gear to measure input vs outgo,

our fear is that you will pull a "too large" bank down so far it takes a month to get them back to Full - which you should do most cycles for longevity.

The real questions (besides insolation above) are, what are your usage needs, and what charge sources do you have to refill the bank *other* than solar?

is really simple math , I would suggest understanding , then use calculators , you need to gather the number of any project - most anything electronic will have input / output - gather those to figure your needs .
