I have a leaky valve on my Thetford Aqua Magic permanent toilet, is there any preventative maintenance I should do while it's torn apart? Replacing seals, that sort of thing? We don't have any problems other than the valve leaking(it slowly fills the bowl with water when not in use), but I thought I'd see if anything else is recommended before I get into it.

When you buy the kit with all the parts it would make sense to use all of them , sounds like you only have sand in the valve or a little buildup so you will know when its apart....dont forget to buy a new floor sealing gasket using the old one will not work without you coming back to change the Floor from seeping rot!!

OMG, what a straight line!

Yes, I know it's a serious question and you've already gotten one serious answer. But there are those of us whose minds are not that lofty.

Nick, ye be beggin' for it man!

poop in a bag and throw it at expensive foreign cars you dont like in heavy traffic from an overpass... oh wait, uh.. nevermind.

but if the seals etc are good there shouldent be a need to replace them, unless their very old and getting brittle. You might want to check your tanks for cracks etc if you spent time in heavy winter by filling them completely with water and then checking for leaks. just an idea from somebody who burst his tanks and waterlines once.

I cannot think of anything you should do, but I can think of one or two things you probably shouldn't do.
