I was finally able to access the battery bank in the ex-FBI surveillance van I got. I just have NO idea what kind of batteries these are.  Do you?

Hard to tell for sure. Post on a Will Prowse youtube video and see if he will answer.

Thank you. Will do.

the mystery has been solved. somebody already posted what they are. highdesertranger

That is a really well done high dollar looking system I do believe.

Thanks for your help, everyone. Someone figured it out om one of my other threads.

Except they were not Northstar. I got them out if their racls today and they were all white, with no brand name. They only thing it said was Pb (the periodic symbol for lead) and there was a small sticker with a serial number. i think they may have been made by a government contractor, since they were in a government vehicle.

Get the voltage checked. They are probably long lasting batteries if you keep them charged. If nothing else take some pictures and see if you can trade or sell them. Did you have any luck finding a manufacturer’s name tag on the vehicle? It would be great if you could get build information from them, they might even have a wiring diagram. Maybe it would be good to PM Jimindenver see if he can help you as well.

They may very well be Northstar batteries but unbranded.

I was thinking that, too. Maybe made specially for the government?

No, no manufacturer tags at all.

I checked the voltage and they were 9.5, 8.5, 8.2, and 8.1..

I tried to sell them here, but bu Desert High Ranger said they were no good.

Maybe I'll try to charge them myself and see if they hold a charge??

Thanks.
