Looks nice, I'm assuming your in the area to test drive it, and have a mechanic check it out.

If you're interested, go for it. Looks good, but remember, always get it checked before purchase. 318's are good engines. Not sure about that year, but earlier tranny's were known to have problems. Still, even if you had to change the tranny, it's a beautiful van. Make sure they check for having been in a flood. It's the east and a lot of places flooded this year.

Rae

Looks clean, I would try to test drive it and if you can have a mechanically inclined person check it out first tho. The buy price seems fairly reasonable if everything is working.

I would pay close attention to the hightop and roof seal, he mentions rust on the two corners of the high top, it might just be the molding but id want to be sure it didn't leak or could be fixed fairly easily.

Thanks guys but after checking Mapquest I realize I'm only 200 miles away! That will not work for me! :-(

Thats like 2 round trips to walmart for me

Heck, I was 12000 miles away, when I bought mine. Easily done!

Nice van, not unlike my Ford.

Lifey

Miles to a great van is irrelevant to me. My van was 450 miles away. I bought it from a used dealership that specialized in vans, and did no major mechanical inspection of my own. I told them that I was flying in and would be driving it long distances immediately, and they said that they would back up their word if anything went wrong. Could have been very bad, but they were a very professional dealership and I was confident in their support.

Drove it 3,000 miles in a roundabout way to get it back home, with a trailer and through major snowstorms.

Not something I would recommend everyone do, but don't let distance to your perfect (make, mileage, engine, length, top, interior, etc) van be the only deterrent.

If it's what you want and a good deal, the miles will be a get acquainted, ride together.

Yeah well guys I need to tell you I don't want to get fired yet from my job. Nice thought anyway!! But I did find another van thats 2 blocks from my house. Now I know its a gas guzzler but I am job camping and yes I know the wind shield is cracked and I will be getting it repaired. But he took good care of it. Saturday I shall know. Which me luck. Craigslist
