The box looks like a good idea. I don't like how he mixed panels in the one bank.

Wire size sounds reasonable to me and the breaker for shutoff is really a good idea.

I don't like those screw pinch type terminal strips. I have found that the screws loosen. highdesertranger

HDR is right. Crimp some lugs on the ends of the wires and use some blue loctite on the threads.

I think you guys are right, the more I look at the DIN rail stuff the more I dislike it for up on a roof. Though it may be a great solution for in my battery/power compartment to keep things organized
