Adjustable Roof Mounts?

I'm looking for an adjustable solar panel roof mount that is able to tilt up on both sides.. DIY ideas/links welcome. I've only been able to find mounts that tilt up on one side, I'd like to utilize as much sunlight as I can! Thanks.

it can be done but it's going to take some pretty cleaver engineering. a single tilt would be much, much easier. highdesertranger

It's not that difficult. You do something like this. Both sides can act as either hinges or attachment points for the support rod, depending on which bolts you remove. Just leave enough slack in the cables to tilt either way.

I can tilt mine to either side, but raising the driver side requires getting out a chair or ladder to stand on. I can stand on the side doorway to raise the passenger side. So I find it easier to just always raise the passenger side and position the van so the panel faces the sun. Sometimes I'll reposition the van during the day -- morning position, midday position, late afternoon position. Then after sundown I'll return to the morning position.

If I can ask, where did you get your brackets?
