Very good points Slow2Day and Lucky mike. This does not appear the publication. The nice thing about having any PDF document is that you can quickly run a key word search.

The statement of not using a commercial address was in a approval letter I received. It also made reference to not using a P.O. Box. Saying not to use these as my address of residence. It didn't say I couldn't use them as a mailing address. So this could have been anything from a rule to something that is directed at me personally.

I agree, it's always best to get and check your information first hand. I don't like phone calls. I like email better because I have a record of what and when I asked and the response, or lack of response.

It sounds like your problem is similar to a couple of friends I know, so here are the solutions they use:

Friend #1 has a bed & breakfast that he likes to visit. He lists it as his address, and the owners will forward his mail to anywhere he needs. If they want to do a home visit, he can simply go rent a room for that day.

Friend #2 found a small town which has no door to door mail delivery, only PO Boxes and a probably bored to death postmaster. He says the postmaster filters out any junk mail for him and will telephone him whenever he gets mail that needs attention and will then forward it to him.

I'm not on any kind of assistance, but I just use a private post office box service for $10/month and I use that address on my drivers license and everything else. They have an option for "No Junk Mail" on their application, and they'll forward your mail to anywhere. They will also accept UPS etc. packages for me. Very Handy!
