I live up in Canada (B.C.) and we have, like, a million miles of logging roads (active & decommissioned).. with LOT'S of places to camp. Many of them require a 4x4 to get to, having been water-barred or just plain knee deep in mud. ..Willy.
 
2 inches before hitting the bumpers isnt abnormal. &nbsp;Solid axles drop a lot keeping the tires in contact with the ground, its mostly about down travel not up.<br /><br />You have to be tricky with truck campers, most are terrible off road. &nbsp;This site has a section dedicated just to truck campers &nbsp;http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/80756-How-much-off-road-can-they-handle<br /><br />edit* &nbsp;I saw one of those Rokons in real life this summer,&nbsp;unfortunately&nbsp;it was just parked. &nbsp;What a weird little beast. &nbsp;I remember seeing a picture of one with a chainsaw mount. &nbsp;He would use it to scout the trails for his expo camper. I think something like a yamaha TW200 might be a little more practical.
