IIRC, they got their start as a snowmobile manufacturer, then branched out from there

They also own Indian Motorcycles. They did own Victory Bikes but I think it's been discontinued.

The Polaris snow sleds are the most popular uptah the county Oh AYUH !
All anybody drives when winter gets going strong.
Lots of farm land and snow drifting across the roads and such...
Pick 'em ups get used in spring- summah- fall...
Most of them boys/girls have matching 4 wheelers too!

There ARE other brands but WAY outnumbered by Polaris.

I'll be looking around when I go into a town big enough to have a shop.

This coming Thursday however, I will be driving to Alabama to pick up my "new to me" bike trike whatever thing. It folds up so I can take it with me.

I saw an add on tv just now and they were advertising a store in Newburgh IN (not real far) that sells 4 wheelers.  They spanned the store with the camera and I noticed many said "Polaris".  Is that a decent brand?

have had several Polaris. no complaints. like them enough to have bought a new one to take out west this winter. 450-HO 4 wheel drive. way less money than the flavor of the month side by sides.

Cammalu - once you've got your hands on it can you please let me know how small it packs up to.

I'm interested in a trike because I have balance issues and am not able to use a two wheeler. I'd love to get back on a bike and am not ready for those old peoples' trikes....

 we spent Oct. 2015 to May 2016 boondocking and stayed 1 week in a campground (Tombstone) all the rest was BLM land. Bounced around from Yuma, to Quartzite to the slabs, and even up into Nevada and over to New Mexico. We traveled in our motorhome with a 24 ft enclosed trailer. Only problem, was we had my Harley and the wife's Camaro. Neither vehicle lends itself to boondocking or desert exploring.   this trip will have our trailblazer for extended off road trips, and the 4 wheeler for exploring those hard to get spots. Also, while at Quartzite, I'll be able to haul a blue tank to the rv dump and not have to break camp all the time. We're going to close up the house come winter and head out yonder again. Giving serious thought to selling my Ozark paradise and moving back out West. I love my place, but, it's getting hard for me to maintain all 33 acres and we have no family interested in it. I guess I have a leg up on most because I've lived on both sides of the country and in the middle.
Here we are at Lake Meade and the Yuma BLM.
