I just installed my rain deflector for my Transit, I'm extremely disappointed. There isn't much coverage so I can barely crack my windows open. I've added some photos that should explain.

I'm not sure what brand of rain deflectors you bought but mine are right at the very edge of the window not several inches up like in your second picture.

i just ordered a set of German made airvents that i feel are a better alternative to the rain deflectors currently on the market. The only US distributor of these airvents (that i could find) is Eurocamper.com out of Missouri. They offer more security and have other benefits that may justify the high price.

BTW (by the way), in my research i once came across a rain deflector that i thought was better than the stick-on type. It fit up in the window groove. Unfortunately i now can’t locate the website i saw it on.

Weathertech is the place: https://www.weathertech.com/

IMHO you mounted the stick on's way to high.  They should have been down close to the window.  In any case, if you have a roof vent with a fan, you will find with the window cracked just a little as you show, there will be a great breeze coming in.

I bought some AVS branded deflectors from a Rhino Rack dealer...….

They cover the window top much better

Have to agree, but no problem to correct, in fact improve the situation. My OEM deflectors started to come unstuck in the Texas heat, using dental floss I removed them, cleaned off the remaining by rolling thumb/fingers to get most off, then Goo Gone to clean any remains, clean up paint and plastic with Isopropyl Alcohol. Used 3M VHB double sided tape 1/2'' wide to re apply, No further issues. No rain ingress with windows cracked open 1'' in almost 2 years. Plus with the Maxx Air 7000 set to come on at 78 degrees automatically the temps in the white van remain quite comfortable on hot summer days.
