I'm thinking of looking at this Road Trek, and as I don't know much about engines and all, I'm posting here for input. The first thing I noticed was that the bathroom is pretty non-existent, but when I tear out that third seat, I could enlarge the bathroom and maybe rig an indoor shower? What else am I overlooking? The price is a little high, I think, for the number of miles, but it looks pretty clean.

Hahaha... I was looking at this one over last weekend Nana. Price did seem a little high, especially with the mileage.

I see they list a glove box and cigarette lighter as part of the factory options. LOL!!

It looks nice, but a 24 year old Dodge with an unknown engine. (318?)

The mileage listed is wrong. I have that year, and the odometer does not show the 100.000 It just goes up to 99,999.9 then turns over. It is either 17,000, 117,000 or 217,000 miles. Lots of mistakes in that listing. It is not an aluminum body for one. I have talked with people with that same unit.

Without climbing under it, I can not tell what the mileage is.

The interior looks new!

Overpriced by thousands because you can get a much newer unit for that kind of money.

But it is real nice looking.

Are you in the Sacramento area?

See? This is why I ask you all! Now I've got legitimate questions to raise, and maybe a little bargaining power. Anything else that anyone notices needs to be addressed? The inside is real pretty, but the AC unit and t-stat look to be original.

I also noticed 1 house battery with a microwave, and no solar. No mention of the water tank or the grey tank. Electrical set up NONE. This looks like a project that is not all there. Who ever did the interior did a nice job. but the omissions are scary!

I would love to check it out with their information sheet.

No worries, I'm going to buy the Tesla, and solve all my power issues. ;)

A nice unit for what it has, but there's a lot it hasn't. The dinette is a deal breaker for me, as I DO NOT do dinettes. But, it has lots of storage. Some of that makes much of the dinette seating unusable IF I could use a dinette.
Agreed about the electrical/battery/solar - major renovation needed there. That jump seat would go, and maybe have the bathroom extend temporarily there in front of the rear side door for showers? A fold out sofa bed in the rear, extending forwards for decent length, using three sections?
This vehicle would be a good project for the owner willing to work on it, but is too pricey for that.
But, this is the textbook example of How To Photograph An RV! Cudos to them for that! Love the detailed pics!
And I like the glove box. Full Size vans generally have NO glove box, maybe a pocket on the doghouse if you are lucky! In my 1988 E150, I use the overhead compartment to store the manuals, FA kit, etc.

Lee, that glove box will only hold gloves, and a folded insurance document.

But you are spot on about the photography.

This is an earlier Roadtrek  I have a 2000 200 Versatile.  A manual for each year Roadtrek can be had at http://www.roadtrek.com/support-contact .   You will have to drill down for the actual manual.  All Roadtreks are a finished product ready to use.  Very few RV's come with solar, especially older ones.  I love my Roadtrek.  That motor is a 318 and is almost bullet proof, however probably under powered for mountains.  Waaaay to much money for an early Roadtrek without a shower (has most everything else including the Onan NPS approved generator which is an expensive option).  If really interested, I would have them demonstrate that ALL the systems work and then you will know how to operate the systems too.  My Roadtrek has 12VDC and 110VAC throughout.

Forgot to add that the dinette area seats are two twin beds and when the table is between the benches, it is a king size bed.  Roadtreks have a great amount of storage.

Dont get me wrong. I would love to have one. This one has obviously been redone, and without checking what was done (or not done) ~~~ You know.
