Here (hopefully) is a pic of my new Camper.

Needs some work, but not too much, really.

Anxious , but excited!

I post more pictures in this thread tomorrow.

Thanks!

I am happy to not have to deck out my van, being disabled and not a small person, I much prefer this!

I have a couple of simple repairs and a few "upgrades" I plan ondoing in the next 4 months to make it more "mine"...

here are two more pics, from the craigslist ad.

Looks like a winner! Same floor plan as mine and many others had. Consider an equalizing hitch and sway control. Harbor Freight has some reasonably priced ones or with your luck just hit craigslist. May your good luck continue! Be sure to check all the gaskets and seals on all the marker lights as that is an area often over looked.

Wow! And look at that light!!! Oh yeah I love the old campers!!!

That is so cool. Be careful, you might find someone's forgotten stash when you clean it!

Looks like it was kept out of the weather, great find and great slate to work with.

Yesterday was long, so I got a late and slow start.

I finally got some pics taken.

Here you go!

The upper 3-door storage area is actually a bed too!

Or it can folded up out of the way for extra headroom.

Pretty nifty to this newbie!!!

Holy mint shape Batman!

I love it.

I would video every part of that thing and the work you do on it.

You Tube eats that stuff up.

Even if you don't want to, I would contact one of the people who specialize in the old TT's to video.

There aren't many of those left...at least not in that condition.

(Even after catching Mrs G flu and feeling like crap, this has me smiling. Thanks for the pictures!) :)

I am Loving it too!

I absolutely hate being in front of a camera. And I live out in Nowhereville at the moment.

I will try to document as much as I can and will try to get in touch with someone who does the YouTube thing when I head to Quartzsite.

I took a quick glance under it today,it has a FULL belly pan and the floor looks like its insulated!!!

I need to take a measure tape out with me tomorrow and measure the Black and Gray tanks so I can determine the approximate size(s).

They look close to 40 gals each - just by looking.

I am sure one of the pro's would meet you without having to put your face on camera.
They want the TT, not you.
One that original deserves to be done by someone with decent gear the right way.

What are your plans for the roof?
Were it mine, I would not wait to find a leak, I would get a couple of 80 pound teens to clean and preemptively coat it.

I will make a serious effort to get in touch with the YouTube crowd and get it documented!

I (250+lbs) walked on the roof before I bought it. NO leaks, no damage other than some weathering.

Coating the roof with new stuff is in the top 5 things to take care of before I actually go anywhere.

Approximately 160sf isn't too much roof to take care of!
