14" vent will not fit in compact van

I bought a maxxair fan for my city express earlier this week only to realize the ribs are too close and I can't install the vent without cutting into the ribs. Are there any alternative vents that are 10" or smaller that y'all go with?

I installed a 6" Ventline in my pickup topper...works well enough but is fairly noisy, on it's one speed. So I installed a 2 speed switch and its a lot quieter on low.

I also changed the screen for more airflow.

Works well for a smaller enclosed area like a pickup topper or smaller van.
