I'm kind of surprised that you guys are all fancy in your special sleeping bags. I sleep in a bed with sheets and blankets. If it's cold I wear a hat, gloves, socks made from natural fibers, and maybe some extra covers. If seriously cold the dog helps keep me warm. Haha. ;-)

Yes I understand this completely. Going through this with my family, and the guilt of leaving them. Also afraid of breaking the closeness I have worked for my whole life....

Before you get all fancy... Just pack some clothes, water, personals, and head out. Stores with everything you need will be everywhere. Wait and see what you really use and need. No refrigeration- eat simple No lights- go to bed You will acquire what you want. Just enjoy yourself.

Just startling when you've never been in one.

I keep alcohol in a spray bottle for squitos and flies. For creepy crawlers I buy cedar oil and dilute it 10% cedar oil and 90% alcohol.  I spray both of these on my pets and me and all over my cargo trailer.  We have been under control for 3 years and smell great!
