No Knead Artisan Bread

Sounds like a dutch oven would be an asset to have.

VanFan - I like reading theboatgalley.com

Lots of useful info from living on a boat can also be applied to vandwelling. In fact here's a link to that website about baking yeast or quick bread in the dutch...

    Coffee time talk

I use a french press and a hand operated ceramic coffee grinder with grind adjustment to allow for coarse grounds needed for the press. So I just boil water, manually grind beans, mix coffee with boiling water and stir, wait a few minutes, press, and serve! IMO, it's the only...

    Camping with a pressure cooker

Sometimes I think humor/sarcasm is misinterpreted when making comments online.

I agree with the fact that a pressure cooker is definitely beneficial because it is efficient, versatile and produces healthy meals. So in other words, if you already have one don't leave it behind...

highdesertranger -

Do you like your dutch oven? Is it useful for baking on the stovetop? Do you think you use it enough to justify the space it takes to store it? I love baking and will miss having an oven on the road.

I just thought of another good...

    question about the barking collar

Patience is the key! It's so hard not to get frustrated and give up, which confuses the dog and puts you back to square one. They need structure and leadership just like kids do. But it sounds like you're off to a good start! Good luck!

    question about the barking collar

As with anything in life there really is no magic solution other than solving the problem the "hard way" by having to actually train your dog. In my experience with dog behavior issues there is no easy way out. If it's easy then it's not worth doing!

    No Knead Artisan Bread

Here's a link to a great way to make your own bread by hand. All you need are the ingredients, refrigeration and a means of baking the bread. I make bread this way - it's inexpensive and simple. It's great because you don't need any of those mixing/bread making...

Stovetop ovens 'good' or 'not so good'?

Here's another solution for stovetop baking. I've never tried it but have considered getting one. Making pizza would be challenging with its shape though...

<a href="http://theboatgalley.com/stove-top-baking/" rel="nofollow"...

    question about the barking collar

I've used citronella collars for my dogs. They work, but the dogs have learned how loud the whine/bark needs to be in order for the collar to spray. Unfortunately they still can get away with a low whine, so it might not work if you need your dog to be completely quiet. But...

    Small Class C Boondocking Experiences

We will definitely be boondocking out west since we're starting from Washington, so it's good to know that there are still many possibilities for semi-remote locations to stay in a class c.

    Still in planning stage...

Thanks for the friendly welcome everyone! The "planning" can better be summed up as basically saving money and getting rid of possesions....when that's accomplished then we will definitely be taking the plunge!

    Small Class C Boondocking Experiences

Does any one have experience with boondocking on public land in small (22-24ft) class c rv? I am interested in getting to remote locations (in mountains and/or desert) away from people. However, I'm concerned that a class c will greatly limit how remote I can go due to...
