    WOMEN ONLY! SUV tent

You can close the hatch but I’ll have to figure out if I can open it from the inside or if I’ll have to use a side door and walk around to the tent.

    WOMEN ONLY! SUV tent

I’m trying to visualize how this works. Type of bags you use in the coffee container that are leak proof. Any pictures?

    WOMEN ONLY! SUV tent

In an SUV, there’s no way I would be able to sit on a toilet to pee. There’s not enough headroom to sit on top of it. I can sit on my bed (I think - haven’t tried it yet) but the added height of the toilet would not work.

    WOMEN ONLY! SUV tent

Thanks. I’ll check out her video. I’ve tried female urinals and wide mouth hugs but I still always have spillage, and that’s standing up. I won’t be able to stand in my SUV and that’s a problem since I wake several times each night to pee. If I have to get up and go outside, I won’t be able to...

    WOMEN ONLY! SUV tent

One option I’m considering to save precious money is to get a quality SUV tent to attach to the back of my HRV. I’d sleep in the HRV and then be able to move to the tent in complete privacy to go potty or change clothes standing up. I have a couple concerns but the major one is that if I leave...

    Runaway

So the 2020 Runaway CoolCamp only weighs 580 lbs and they state that they have several customers who tow with an HRV. This may be an option for me. I’d only use it for sleeping and a place to retreat when bad weather shows up. I’ll have a screen room outside for more living space.

    Mid-Atlantic

I’m going to test out my SUV for camping this spring and fall (not summer because way too humid out here).  What’s a reliable source for remote camping locations (where I won’t hear/see much of my neighbors)? This would be in the Mid-Atlantic (MD, VA, WV, PA). I could go a little further for...

Couples - what did you choose

We won’t have toys except perhaps for a kayak. And I lean towards having a toad for getting around as opposed to buying a truck to tow something.

Couples - what did you choose

Yeah I agree re grandkids. They are little now so tenting alone isn’t an option. But once we are out of the area they won’t be meeting up with us often anyway.

Couples - what did you choose

Not mutually exclusive. He’s happy to boondock just not all the time. I’m cool with RV parks on occasion just not as a rule. So I think we can compromise and find a happy medium. I just don’t want something so big that we are excluded from a majority of NPs.

Couples - what did you choose

There’s a possibility I won’t be going solo. If that happens, we are waffling between a Class A and C. I’m more inclined to want to boondock on BLM and NF land. He’s more inclined to want hookups. So we will compromise and do some of both. I need space if traveling with someone so I can have...

    SUV tent questions

Sounds like maybe a free standing tent would be better. Although I liked the SUV option because I get up fairly frequently at night for potty visits and can’t imagine trying to do that with no headroom in the SUV. I know women do it but for the life of me I don’t know how. I just prefer to sleep...

    SUV tent questions

I’m looking at SUV tents and wonder how they might hold up in windy conditions. Since they are partially attached to the SUV, reasoning would lead one to believe they might be more stable, especially if you use good army tent stakes for the rest of the set up. Yes or no? I want to be able to...

Postmates For Living On The Road?

I currently do Uber and Lyft to supplement social security and make a fairly good income at it (average $20/hr before paying for gas, etc).  I have wondered about doing UberEats and Postmates on the road and I did do delivery for a short period of time.  It doesn't pay as much as rideshare but...

    Any SUV dwellers?

This is helpful.  I have been planning on going in my HRV and worry about when I can't put my tent up.  I was planning on getting an SUV  tent and wonder if it is attached to the vehicle whether that would make it less prone to the ravages of the wind.  I somehow have to make this work.   I...

    Cargo carrier on HRV

My issue with a cargo box is accessibility. I have a bum arm so reaching above my head is difficult. I think for my purposes, a swing away cargo carrier might be the best option. It will place a limit on how much I carry and I can still utilize an SUV tent and use the back of the HRV for sleeping.

    Cargo carrier on HRV

I was wondering why I was seeing towing specs for the car in other countries. Quite honestly, I think I will probably limit myself to a swing away cargo carrier.

    Algodones dentures

I didn't see a health/medical forum so I hope it's okay to put this here.  Watched a lot of videos and read a lot of blogs about dental care in Mexico.  I am in need of a lot of extractions and then full upper and lower dentures.  I'm trying to get some hard numbers (or as close as I can get)...

    Dental Costs in Mexico?

I'd like to know more about this.  I need full uppers and lowers and extractions.  I'm wondering how long that would take, cost (especially with all the extractions) and recovery time.

    Cargo carrier on HRV

I plan on making the back of the HRV my sleeping area and getting an SUV tent for some relatively bug-free outdoor living space. So whatever I hitch to my car has to be easily removed so I can attach the tent. I do have a hobby and I want to take those supplies with me. For the most part, the...
