Interesting Idea

If that is carrying some of the weight of the camper, it will be putting some serious stress on the camper structure. Bet that'll void the warranty!

    Windy Weather

Just south of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Big black cloud suddenly overhead ... the hail started as pea sized then marble sized, then worse. Pulled over to the side of the road just as everything let go. Hunkered down in the back of the van and the roar was tremendous. We could not hear each other...

    Evaluating a 1999 Roadtrek

My 1995 Roadtrek is still going strong at 21 years old and 185,000 KM. As a matter of fact, we will be heading to Ontario in May for a round trip of 7000km and I have no worries that my Roadtrek will be fine for the journey.

    Boondocking Love Story

Wintertime and well below freezing - we pull up in front of a mom & pop type bar/cafe/casino in Montana. Seeking sustinence, refreshments and entertainment. we proceed into the establishment and partake of the facilities. Several hours later I leave my sweetheart at the poker tables (actually...

    FloJet Portable RV Waste Pump??

I do recommend this pump if you truly need it (i.e. no other way to dump the tanks) It is pricey. If anyone has this pump be aware that there is a fuse in the remote on/off button handle. Took me awhile to locate that sucker !

    FloJet Portable RV Waste Pump??

I've had the flojet waste pump for about 8 years and have used it extensively. I have pumped uphill about 10 feet and up to 100 feet away with no problem. It uses a 5/8 inch garden hose and empties a tank in a few minutes. One thing I've found - you need to put a teaspoon full of vegetable oil...

    Freeze Dried Food from Walmart.com

Remember the Jetsons back in the sixties? (This was a sci-fi cartoon ) - they had jet packs for traveling around, and other cool stuff, but the best was the meal pill ... one little pill was a full course meal, so 3 x 365 days, a little over 1000 pills was a years food supply. I'm guessing a 5...

Mr. Heater Buddy VS Olympian Wave-3 Catalytic Heater

"1. Its cheaper given that it uses less propane because it uses low pressure propane vs the Mr. Heater Buddy which uses high pressure." The Buddy heaters have a built in regulator - high pressure to the heater, then regulated down to low pressure to the burner. Thus it does not use more...

    Got a Joke??

WHY SENIORS STILL NEED NEWSPAPERS I was visiting my daughter last night when I asked if I could borrow a newspaper. "This is the 21st century" she said. "We don't waste money on Newspapers. Here… use my iPad." I can tell you this….. That bloody fly never knew what hit him...

    mr buddy fail

It could be a partly plugged pilot orifice. Mine did the exact same thing ... I posted a how-to on my website with picture etc. as I disassembled it, cleaned the pilot orifice and put it all back together. This is the Little Buddy heater but should be similar to the Big Buddy...

    Hi Michelle,

If you set the switch to "battery" do you have interior lights working? If the house battery is charged, you should get power in the coach area. If none of the lights work, then we'll need to find out why they don't ...

Les D.
rverscorner.com

how to light a furnace and hot water heater

It may take some time for the gas to get to the pilot - it has a very small orifice so it does not pass much gas. Also, you may not be able to smell the gas - hold a lighted match to the pilot while holding down the button. It may take several minutes to light. Then keep holding the...

    Heating-Little Buddy

Just fyi ... propane pressure is dependent on temperature and not the size of the container. At a given temp the pressure will be the same in a 1 lb, 20 lb, 100 lb or any other container.

The regulator reduces the pressure to 11 inches of water column (about 1/2 psi)

Heater for small dwellings, AKA; Vans Catalytic vs Blue Flame, etc.

My portable buddy immediately fogs up the windows (here on Vancouver Island BC) due to the humidity here. Not a problem for me, but it may be a concern when stealth is required. Other than that it works very well and rarely needed on the high setting. Would be nice if it had a thermostat to...
