WomenOnly: Off-Grid Camping for Single Women

^ No problem.  I'll have to put some more thought into this and hopefully run into you and others this fall and do some more brainstorming and get even more ideas.  I'm thinking the way to go would be a non-profit and would be a camp specifically for women although I noticed that Bob is starting...

Women Only: Long term camping in Winter

For those of you who are living on the road full time, I was wondering where you spend most of your winter?  I know in one of Bob's videos he mentioned Coyote Howls in Arizona.  Does anyone here stay there for the winter?  Can you tell me if you would recommend it?  Any good or bad points about...

    Attending the RTR 2019

That's a good question.  I am thinking the same.  I have never been and will be a newbie out in October.  It all seems very overwhelming to me and kind of chaotic.

WomenOnly: Off-Grid Camping for Single Women

Yes, I think you're right regarding changing locations in the different seasons.  My thoughts to limiting it to women at first is because I feel that there are more women who live at poverty levels than men and I was also thinking of a non-profit rather than a for profit site or business.  Also...

WomenOnly: Off-Grid Camping for Single Women

Yes, the extreme weather makes it difficult to spend the whole year in one place.  There may have to be 2 different campsites to move between during the extreme seasons unless there is a place where the temperatures are mild year round.  I'll check out northern NM land.

WomenOnly: Off-Grid Camping for Single Women

Thanks, this is good to know.  I will have to check it out.  Is the weather mild year round in northern NM?

WomenOnly: Off-Grid Camping for Single Women

Yes, there seems to be no perfect place and I always prefer cold to heat but living out of a car or tent would be difficult unless some kind of structure was built for living in the winter or another site in another area to move to so that we are switching back and forth during the extreme...

    Hello....new here

Yes, it's quite the challenge, isn't it?  I have been struggling a long time with finances so have been living with people all my life and it has been mostly renting out rooms from people lately.  It just gets so old living pay check to pay check.  I can hardly wait to see my social security...

WomenOnly: Off-Grid Camping for Single Women

I seem to come across many stories of older single women living in their cars, as I will be soon.  Would it be beneficial or of interest to anyone to live at a low cost off-grid campsite for single women only.  If there is a need  or interest, I would like to do some more research and look into...

    Hello....new here

Thank you.  I''m afraid I'll have to stick with the Corolla for the next year so I'll have to make due but at least it gets great mileage.

    Hello....new here

Okay, I've heard of the red and blue pill but the purple pill is new to me.

    Hello....new here

Thanks you. It's always helpful to find others who can relate.  I hope to see you at CH this fall.  It's always nice to get out and meet new people.

    Hello....new here

Thanks for your encouragement.  It's good to hear when people say the nomadic life is comforting.

    Homeless Does not mean Hopeless

Welcome OneWayTix, I'm new here too and have a similar situation. I'm in my 50's and will be living in my Corolla soon. I have no savings either. Bob's videos are encouraging and helpful, for sure. It seems as time goes on there will be more and more homeless people in this country. I just...

    Women Only: Major downsizing

I too am getting rid of most of my stuff and in the process of taking most items to goodwill. Once I am living in my car, I will have no room. I will send some things to friends and photos to family. I actually didn't think I had that much because several years ago I was forced to dump almost...
