Oregon GTG July 2016

We had a wonderful time at Nelda's friend's property in NE Oregon. Laughed a LOT. Great people. Here are a few pics I took. Sorry everyone wasn't available. Group on top; Nancy & Nelda [Nancy, I'm sorry I caught you chewing!]; Christie. Tony & Karen were there, too, but I didn't get their...

Free at last, free at last....

..Thank God Almighty, I'm free at last! Cleaned out my storage unit this week. Kids took some stuff, most was donated and the rest I took to the county dump. Hooray! Man, this feels good! Nothing now but what I have in my Tiger! :) Advice to you all: Don't accumulate STUFF! Just...

    Dogs: Do you ever wonder?

Do you ever wonder what criteria determine where a dog decides to park his poop? There is obviously a serious search for just the right place. :)

    Too much stealth? Sad story!

This is one of those 'should never have happened' situations. It is heartbreaking that no one cared enough to notice her missing and also that she was so stealthy no one checked her out. You would think at least the rehab facility she had just left would have done some follow up. :(...

    Vagabundo

A friend emailed me a photo of a painting by Remedios Varo called Vagabundo. She said it made her think of my RV lifestyle. :D

    The Other 'Tiger Lady'

I understand that another solo woman with a Tiger came to the RTR just after I left. I would really like to hear from her! :)

    My first RTR

Glad I was able to be there, if only for a couple of days. Nice to meet Bob and some of the other folks. Looking forward to staying longer next year. Thanks Bob! :) PS: My dog Bucky enjoyed the canine companionship, too, especially one particular female. :P

    Was siphoning gas, now guns

Is it legal to hold someone at gunpoint while you phone the police? Just curious.

White van driver shoots Canadian border guard

The video taken from the chopper shows a mattress in the back. The vandweller, by early reports, took his own life when the border agents drew their firearms on him. http://www.kirotv.com/videos/news/raw-chopper-7-at-peace-arch-crossing-scene/vf2hG/

    Hoarding--on the computer?

A mention of hoarding got me to thinking: While I fancy myself a minimalist at heart and make a real effort to keep my 'stuff' under control, I do keep a lot of files on my computer.

What do you think? Are we hoarding when we accumulate gigabytes of hard drive...

    Traveling vs. Parking

My dream of RV living is traveling around more or less constantly, which is what my husband and I did when we full-timed in a motorhome for two years in the 1990's. The price of fuel makes this almost prohibitive now but the idea of parking somewhere in a van or MH for extended periods...

    Security stealth

Yesterday morning I visited WalMart and an RV was just exiting his overnight spot. His small, older Class C had the word 'Security' in large red letters on all sides of his RV. Wish I could have gotten a picture but I wasn't fast enough.

With his rig, I don't think anyone...

    Solo women RVers

I found this particularly inspiring since she is older than I but has nonetheless hit the road full time. Maybe some of you will be inspired, too.

Are you a nurse, Katie? So am I!

    Hello, forum folk!

I've been on several other RV forums for quite a while but only found this one recently. I have a 2000 Born Free 24RB Class C and tow a 2002 Honda CR-V.

Right now I don't do much RV-ing because my husband is in a nursing home after a long illness but I plan to live in the RV...
