Well, the good thing about it all is that I know much more than I did before, so bring on the Renogy kit! And, since I paid with a card, I was able to return it all for cash on the other side of the country.

Experiment resolution... this is a craptastic answer that doesn't cut it. Worked for the front battery to keep topped, but HFT is full of horse hockey when they claim this will maintain a deep cycle. Spend the extra $50 or so and just go to the Bob kit for 100W.

I'm inclined the way Bob's thinking. We have been running down the East the past few weeks to get away from the chill and still had a few 30-40 degree nights. Hopefully this point we are headed that direction and plan to stay that way for quite some time.

That's reassuring. I can get unlimited data on mine, and I think I just really need a good antenna boost system to be solid. Been using it so far for my job, as long as I have it.

According to opensignal.com, nonexistent. Same for Sprint. Does anyone who has real life experience have a different story on this? It would be nice to be able to bring my phone and not have to trade out to Verizon. I'm Sprint, my wife is AT&T.

I didn't think to warn you. That is part of the downside of that area. They like carrying their dogs in purses. At least in Cheviot Hills. But you should be well let alone now. Most of the authorities there are actually decent.

That sounds about where we are at. We were (and for the moment, are) so heavily mobile we couldn't really get all we wanted. Right now we are only using it for the interior LED lights we put in, and we don't really use those much since we have been parking in rather well lit areas as we move...

Ah, I should have pointed out that I replaced the dead battery outright. I didn't try to recharge it. This Mickey Mouse setup is to keep it topped off until I can get a real handle on this rig we've bought. I pretty much agree with everything that's been said. Thanks!

Yeah, that was partially my concern. I know I have to upgrade pretty quick, and at least this might keep the battery from total death. I am looking forward to learning this rig and getting everything working the way we need. I will have to look harder for the secondhand stuff.
