    Howdy from Ocala

Welcome to the Van Living Forum :) Many members have gone in the direction of a Step Van build out. I've even considered a Step Van a little larger than my high top extend Ford E 350. I don't know if I'd go with a diesel engine or not but definitely an aluminum body vehicle. Also with a...

    ✅ Questions about Ford E-450 w/ 6.8 Gas Triton V10…

I used to drive this DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Van for my local VA Hospital as a volunteer. It had the V 10 Triton in it with 200K miles on it. It was well serviced an ran like a top with plenty of power to haul a dozen vets thru the West Virginia hills with no issues. Only quirk was...

    About old posts

It's been so hot this summer I haven't done much outdoors and I've also been quite involved with helping shuttle friends of mine to their Hospital Visits & Physical Therapy (lots of 15 hour days here of late) that I can't speak to much camping and outdoor recreation. Even mowing the grass was...

    cooking simple food in car

A friend of mine & his wife always travel with a crock pot in their rig. He she uses crock pot liners and foil to cover the glass lid of the crock pot. Most of the veggies they use for the stews are from cans (already cooked) and the meat is grilled earlier and left overs wrapped up to use...

A lot of us in the Van Nomad lifestyle are working remotely and loving it. It's been quite an enabler for those who want to work from a rig while boondocking or traveling. Employers are also wanting to shop the global market for remote workers too. This article in CNBC discusses that...

    Things have changed.

If you have a Library Card, you can probably view any of the books in the collection state-wide. Much of that stuff (about batteries) may be fond online in the Library's Website. Just get your pin number assigned to your card to go in and browse thru it.

    Hammer crimper

For what it's worth, when crimping an end on a wire cable it is important to have the insulation up flush with the end being crimped to the cable. Nor should the wire extend out through the crimping sleeve. (where the crimping is done) If you can see the copper wire showing it can lead to...

    Very new

Bob Wells (the innovator of the "Cheap RV Living") made this 10 minute youtube video to show how he temporarily converted a $20 dollar a day U-Haul Rental Van. He went to Alaska to visit his son from Denver and saved money by doing this. Even though he spent money he believes he came out...

    AMAZON SELLING TINY HOMES!

My Great Grandparents had a Sears Roebuck Home built for them. It had a fire in 2020 and was torn down later. Every since I could remember it was a light pastel green with white trim around the windows etc. The porch had a solid wall (not a fence) but other than that was about like the one in...
