What are your essential thing you look for.

For us it has always changed with our financial situation mainly. If we are unable financially to travel we work camped for full hookup sites so we could stay comfortable at night and during our time off in usually hot climates. We like remote areas where there a few people but if need be do...

    PIRATE CAMP '24-25....................Desert SouthWest

Came down 95 from Parker today had a road construction information sign blinking expect delays starting 10/27/2024 and a large pile of reclaimed asphalt off the side of the road, so maybe resurfacing? Also a pretty large smoke column coming up from a mountain side towards Quartzsite as I turned...

    PIRATE CAMP '24-25....................Desert SouthWest

Be sure to allow a few days to get over getting your shots. My friend hibernated a day or so after getting both at the same time, just saying.

    Hi, All,

Welcome! That late in the year you may want to select a southern route as you will be crossing higher elevation mountains in the northern routes.

    Been thinkin (Again)

Something to take a look at is Escapee’s Care Center in Livingston Texas. We volunteered there 20 years ago and we always thought it might be something we would consider. I imagine it has changed drastically but still I believe the were even dealing with memory loss members then.

Connection advice for DC-DC charger, house battery and a load?

Being an untrained nit wit when it comes to all things electrical it is best to use a fused junction block from the positive post of the battery in my opinion. If it is a single heavy load I usually use military style battery terminals the kind with a bolt and nut for accessories and put a fuse...

    PIRATE CAMP '24-25....................Desert SouthWest

You could always make a larger route going east from Flagstaff then south eventually ending up in southern Arizona then Benson-Sonita- Arivaca then on to Ajo and north. Lots of easy free 14 day camping in southern Arizona.

    Globe AZ info ?

Globe is an old mining town, if you are planning on commuting to Phoenix forget it as US 60 detour is long, busy and out of the way. Absolutely beautiful drive through the Salt River Canyon and onto the reservation but Sho Low, Snowflake and then Holbrook are all small towns with supplies. I...

    About to dive in head-first

There are some school bus groups and forums you should check out as well as insurance rules and availability. Escapee’s Club has some groups of younger people working on the road that might interest you. Also if wintering make sure the previous owner dealt with the condensation that often...

    Quartzsite LTVA Fee Hike

Bet our government is spending many more of our tax dollars to try to solve the homeless problem. Maybe just put an additional tax on lottery tickets, legal weed and booze should be no problem with funding then and make well regulated public camping available all over the country for those that...

    Buying Land

I guess my memory isn’t what it used to be but August was a bad month for construction workers and combat crew members. New York Times August 8th 1961, at an Atlas site outside Denver, 5 people were crushed to death and 8 injured by the 57 ton door. There were also 2 other deaths due to falls...
