1993 Ford Club Wagon (Juanita born again)

Throwing out a few links that I gathered during the "elicitation" phase. But I think I will go with mounting "L" aluminum angles or unistruts directly to the roof. 1) Ford Econoline Conversion Van 3 bar 1992-2014 Ladder Roof Racks Steel White Rack These will fit over the high top, but a little...

diy rain gutter clamps for awning, anyone?

I think I know what you mean... :D  I would take these rain gutter mounts for roof racks and then customize them to hold the awning, by cutting them and adding holes and bolts (I don't have a welder and I don't know how to weld). Found them on amazon. There might be less expensive gutter...

    Hail,Hail, the gangs all Here.

I had a bad hail storm a week ago here in SC. Luckily, the van survived. Speaking of hail. Is there a way to have comprehensive coverage on solar panels? I don't think GEICO would pay for them, although to me they would be part of the vehicle... Do you guys have have separate insurance...

How tell if fiberglass top has wood?

Just in case anyone was wondering. I do not have wood in my fiberglass top, but metal strips. This... ...looks actually like this after cutting. You may be able to see the metal: It is a fiberglass top made by Tri-Glas in 2001. A company that no longer exists.

    2001 E-350 extended WB build

Reached a milestone today; at least for me. In my 42 years, I have never cut a hole in a vehicle. Until today, because today is roof vent day. Quickly tested the fantastic fan by hooking it directly to the battery, i.e. holding the positive and negative cable to the starter battery. Worked...

right heater for a 6x12 cargo trailer

I have read that the Olympian Wave 3 heaters add less moisture to the living area than a Buddy Heater. It also seems they are a little less bulky, and not sure if strong enough for your trailer. They're definitely more expensive; $250 and up on amazon. A CO-detector is a "must"...

    2001 E-350 extended WB build

The mail woman brought me some wind deflectors today. She is so nice! Installation was easy and quick... and more fun than sound-deadening/insulating the floor. I was done within 5 mins. If I could go back, I would buy deflectors that come down a little more, so I could open the windows even...

    Rain guards & Buddy Heater?

I have literally just installed wind deflectors/rain guards on my van. Was the first time... and  it was actually very easy and I was done within 5 mins. Step 1: Clean and scratch up the inside of the window channel. My set came with this cleaning pad: Step 2: Clean the scratched up...

    Sophia's Hauler...

Well, galladanb, if it makes you feel better. I bought a new carpet for the cab area. I put the old nasty stinky carpet over the new carpet and used it as a template to cut the new carpet. Because the old one was stinky, I put it on the back-side of the new carpet... So, guess what...

Cover windows or to not cover windows?

For better temperature control I would cover/insulate the windows, and put some vents in the roof and the floor.
