2001 E-350 extended WB build

Thanks, time will tell how good of a job I did. I was contemplating to get a welder and teach myself to weld for a battery hold-thingy but I wouldn't trust myself that it held in place. So, the batteries will be "inside" in a box.

    the real me

Welcome! Make sure your Chevrolet gets into loving hands... I am still "at home" and trying to finish the build before the end of the lease. But it is encouraging to know that one can build even while dwelling - cuz I don't think I can finish at the rate I am going.

    2001 E-350 extended WB build

Thanks! Actually I do not have much patience... but if I don't do a half decent job now, I think it would require even more patience to fix it once everything is "covered and built over".

    2001 E-350 extended WB build

Here is the promised pic of the sealed roof fan (Dicor Lap Sealant self-leveling stuff). Looks like it could need some more: Need some more JB Weld Water-Weld. Used one roll and some pennies to cover the 100 holes in the floor:

    2001 E-350 extended WB build

HDR, thanks for that advice. I didn't know one can drill out an end of a crack. I hope I did it right. Before: Drilled out multiple ends: (this really is at the end of the crack. I could tell by pressing on the crack.) Painted rust-protect over it: I think it...

Which MPPT Charge Controller can handle my solar?

I looked at this thread of yours. "Fun" is different...  :-/  I knew that the electrical part would be the biggest challenge for me, but I know I can do it with this forum

Which MPPT Charge Controller can handle my solar?

Yeah thanks, definitely helps to know that not every panels can be mixed. Looks like I will have to go with a separate charge controller later, bummer. It also helps to know that a 30 A charge controller is more than enough. But what I still haven't figured out, how do I know a MPPT charge...

    Positioning a Roof Vent/Fan?

I recently cut my first hole ever into a vehicle, and it was for a roof vent. It was actually not too bad. In my head, it was much more dramatic, but once I actually did it, it was actually a fun job. The only advice I can give is: take your time, measure twice, and then measure again. I started...

Should I Remove Fiberglass to Install Foam?

I had fiberglass in the walls from my previous owner and I removed it all. I just don't like that stuff. Just writing about it gives me the "goose bumps". I will replace it with polyiso and closed cell camping mats, depending on how accessible the areas are.
