Howdy! Have been reasearching van dwelling for over a month now. I started researching just before I learned that a divorce might be in my near future. Things have changed for the better and my wife finally understands why I HAVE GOT TO CAMP and get outdoors!! My Wife's not the traveling nor camping type. So, for now, I'm gonna start camping in my Caravan when I can. We live very near a lake with tons of camp sites, so I'll be close if there is an emergency.
This is the first site that has addressed and answered my questions about van dwelling. I've wanted to do it for 20 years, but never knew how to and there has never been a good time to start because I was very sick for years.
After I saw a few of Bob Wells' videos on YouTube, I was sold! Can't get enough of the cheaprvling videos and this site! I've already got a prioritized wishlist on Amazon called "boondocking" and have already stuffed it with dozens of things to use while being "out there"!
I live in Iowa and have travelled to Colorado with my family and New Mexico when I was a Boy Scout. Every time I see the Rockies my eyes well up with tears. It's like a homecoming.
I'm disabled now and could easily live Well under my means if I were a van dweller. Hmmm, saving money, what a novel concept..... lol

Take care and be safe!

Hi! It is a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport. It's got a few bells and whistles, like rear air
and heat. The best thing about it is that I bought it without rear seats. It only has the two front ones. So, it basically a cargo van. I love cargo vans and have owned a couple now. My first one was an '82 chevy with the 350 in it. Loved that van!!! I'm going to move to a full size cargo asap. I've got two different makes in mind but haven't decided on which one. Definitely going to have a taller than standard roof height.

Take care. Be safe. Peace

Welcome!
for part timing and road tripping, the Grand caravan might actually be better, more MPG, y'know

Welcome-

caravans can be cozy- I've done it with 2 medium sized dogs.

had a ton of storage under the cot-bed in milk crates, and a cooler and propane stove fed by a 2.5ga. 'half-tank'
