Yes sleeping in my small SUV is a viable option. Which is the way I'm leaning right now. Will definately stop for the day before dark. My heart says "Just do it" swoosh Just gotta get my head straight.

[split] WOMEN ONLY!!! Traveling across TX

Sure am glad I read this. I've been feeling very vulnerable about hitting the road alone. My sister and I bought a pop-up camper together since it was our plan to become nomads together. Our plan was to leave San Antonio, TX just after Christmas and head to the WRTR/RTR. But what happens? She...

    WRTR

Except that some of the women really get upset if they know men are around. Which is why Suanne has taken that into consideration. We all know you can't just dump your husband somewhere along the way, but the solo women can be a little tough on the guys.

    WRTR

Hi Cam! There WRTR Facebook page explains all this, but in a nutshell, Suanne has created camps for different like. IE-artist camp; LGBTQ camp, camp with husbands etc.  So yes, you can attend with your husband and still be close enough to attend the activities.  Hope to see you soon!! Rosie

    Car camping the 2019 RTR

Yes I did notice the reviews are dated. I'm reading thru all the questions posted on there right now to see if I catch any recent comments.

    Car camping the 2019 RTR

HDR, here's the comment: "The 9-inch cables included are used to connect the solar panel to the charge controller, they have an MC4 connector on one end and bare wire on the opposite end." It is my understanding that the controller needs to be inside the camper since they are not weather...

Yes, I had responded to you that I had a pop-up camper and was planning stays longer than a couple of days, but somehow it didn't go thru

Anybody use a BAL tire leveler?

Exactly what I needed to know. I'm going to start with the blocks first to see how I do. I won't be alone so that was something I hadn't thought about. Thank you!

    Car camping the 2019 RTR

Yes this is the one I'm looking at.  In reading reviews, there were comments regarding a 9 inch wire that wasn't long for something.  Not sure if they were referring to it being connected to the converter and not being long enough to reach the battery?  I don't know what they were talking...

Q you just helped me.  My energy needs, I think, are low. I plan on using an LED lamp rather than worry about the lights in my pop-up.  Cel phones, tablet and laptop. Been trying to figure out what to do regarding power. Gracias!

Getting Used To Living In A Van

I'm envious that y'all are already out there. My plan was to leave this coming Tuesday however my sister screwed that up. Now gotta wait til closer to Christmas or just after. I'd leave her behind but we pitched in for a pop-up camper so it kinda wouldn't be cool for me to leave her behind. But...

Anybody use a BAL tire leveler?

I'm thinking about buying this BAL Leveler.  A little pricey but supposed to make leveling your camper much easier.  Just wondered if it was worth it.  Thanks
