sleeping in slide out sleeping areas

I'm not a fan of slide outs or tip outs either. Every slide out will leak. Tipouts are basically tents on plywood. I have a wide body '96 Motorhome with No slide outs, on purpose. My buddy was shopping trailers. I told him avoid slides. He didn't listen. Leaked the first time out. Brand new trailer.

    RVs Everywhere!

When I worked as a contractor at AMD in Sunnyvale, there were some employees living in their RV's in the parking lot during their shift (3/4 12 Hr shifts per week) and they did it because the 2+ hour commute each way to the affordable areas sucked. A couple of guys did it at Intel in Chandler AZ...

How to Increase Odds of Being Hired by Amazon?

They hired my stepson, and his horrible ex-girlfriend and her dad and brother, people I would rather not be around, so I was sort of left with the impression that they would hire anyone... :dodgy:

Who would be best to cut a cab access door?

Yeah. Vibrato-tool. Call it what you want. Nobody wanted to carry the original, then HF started selling tons of them and now they all have them. I have the HF tool and the Ryobi cordless in the photo. Love 'em.

Who would be best to cut a cab access door?

A Sonic Cutter I cut the door in the back of my trailer, the generator door hole, and new water heater hole with one, and have cut many many other things. For a Pro, maybe these guys?  Cliffs Welding in Mesa, AZ I used them to make a custom exhaust for my Honda RV generator install. They...

Place to do conversion? Mini-storage? Commercial warehouse?

Those man cave garage condo toy storage unit things are not entirely cheap to rent, but some seem to allow overnight stays as they have full utilities and some guys build apartments in them... Something to look at.

    Popup at the RTR?

Just make sure all your bungies and/or straps and hooks are good. If you have a few that are broken, the wind can get under there and ruin your day.

What to do with wet rags?

X2 on that. If you are earning money with those rags, then it shouldn't be a problem to spend a couple of bucks at the laundromat to clean and dry them for the next job. After all, just drying them after rinsing them out really doesn't clean them and you are bringing not so clean rags into a...

    Solar Install Service

yeah that drives up cost, and cost is already an issue here. I am trying to put a low cost, but quality solution together for people. If they already have a rack, then I will adapt to that. Hence the use of the aluminum tubing.

    Solar Install Service

I don't use glue, but am considering the VHB tape on long square aluminum tubes for those who don't want all the penetrations in their van roof. I would mount two long tubes to the roof and then screw the z-brackets to those. The other reason I am considering that is that a van roof is just...

Any other GMC Motorhome owners out here?

Thanks. It is. Totally is. With the GMC, You get to the point that it's just not worth it. I put new everything in it and when the engine blew, that was another $5K or more plus the $5K I still had yet to put in the bodywork and paint and I had enough. It was a 40 year old GM vehicle, and I...

    Solar Install Service

Well, for one, it is Pure sine, not modified. And it includes installation, wire, connectors, fuses, etc. I'm thinking of using the Go-Power Units. They get good reviews and I have seen some detailed tech reviews on them and their siblings... That Bestek inverter is not always $33, and it...

    2018 RTR

I have three multi-level questions for flat-earthers: 1. If the earth is flat, how thick is it? 1a. How do you know? 1b. Was it measured? 1c. How? 1d. Where are there photos? 2. What's on the bottom? 2a. How do you know? 2b. Again, photos? 3. What's at the edge? 3a. If the edge is the...

Chevy van is it a good buy?

That's a lot of miles for any vehicle that you may be relying on as sole transportation that you may use to take you far from civilization... That said, it all depends on the maintenance records.

    2018 RTR

I wonder how many people at the RTR didn't even know about it until they arrived or didn't even figure it out at all? One thing for sure is, if people who dry camp out of cars/vans/tents see porta potties, they are gonna camp within convenient distance from them thinking "bonus." (well, if one...
