    Vapor barrier?????

Thanks everybody! I'll be living in salt lake city and around southern Utah most of the time so it will be drier but also quite cold and really hot at times. I'm putting a fantastic vent in and will have two side windows to help ventilate. I'll probably be insulating with polyiso undecided on a...

    Vapor barrier?????

Ahhh, thanks. I did run into some other posts with mixed comments on the vapor barrier use. Seems like there is an idea that a vapor barrier can trap moisture and it might be better to insulate with air flow and ventilation being your priority. That way moisture/condensation that does accumulate...

    Vapor barrier?????

I've been wading through lots of post on flooring and wall insulation and haven't seen a lot on vapor barriers. I would assume human generated humidity in a small dwelling would make this more neceesary so as to not trap moisture in the walls or under the floor. Do people do this? If so, in what...

    Astro w/fantastic vent?

I'm looking to put a fantastic vent on my astro https://www.etrailer.com/Enclosed-Trailer-Parts/Fantastic-Vent/FV801200.html Was curious if anyone has done this? The top of the roof has some corrugation and I wasn't sure if you could mount the vent over that stuff or if you need a flat surface...

    Rear AC unit removal

Because I want the space to store stuff, it doesn't take up a lot of room but I also don't think I'll be using the rear ac ever. I'm in hot desert country too so I would definitely want to recharge it after the depressurization. Thanks all.

    Rear AC unit removal

I'm working on taking the insides out of a Astro passenger van so I have the maximum room to build in and I was curious about removing the rear AC unit from the back drivers side area.  I found this http://www.astrosafari.com/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=70233 Seems my assumptions were right about...

    Van choice

sweet! Thanks for all the input. I've been looking for a chevy astro, cargo or passenger, passenger seems to be a more popular for sale item in Salt Lake City. Go figure. Anyone have or have had an Astro? Any specific issues you've run into mechanical or otherwise? Thanks!

    Van choice

I'm currently looking to make the move to van life and after looking at vans my most basic question is how easy and how much of all of the extra trimmings and "furnishings" can you reasonably get out of a conversion van? Something like this-  http://www.ksl.com/auto/listing/1970187?ad_cid=1  Or...
