    Class B RV

I am considering purchasing a class b rv and looking for advice. Unit 1 is a Pleasure Way Excel with Ford drivetrain, 5.4l v8 with 40000 miles. Unit 2 is a Gulfstream Vista Cruiser G26 with Mercedes Benz drivetrain, 2.7l 5cyl. turbo diesel with 60000 miles. They are about the same age, and in...

May have to leave home quickly, how to get mail?

I also live in Illinois. I used a UPS mailbox for about 6 months while living in a van. Worked good Sent from my SM-G360T1 using Tapatalk

    DeSoto NF

WOW, those really are MIXED reviews. I am now intrigued. I'll have to try boondocking, but if all else fails, I'll stay at a pay campsite. There are a couple for $7/night.

    DeSoto NF

I'm looking at doing some boondocking in the DeSoto National Forest and wonder if anyone has any experiences or info on good spots within the forest. Autumn into winter is my target. What can I expect for weather.

    Who's behind your user name

VanCamper This is very simple, I camp in my van. Sometimes in a Walmart parking lot, sometimes in a park, sometimes in a interstate rest area, sometimes at a race track on a race weekend.

    John Mayer's RV

It's cool to see even celebs embracing RV living. In John Mayer's case, not so cheap RV living. (500k)

    John Mayer's RV

I recently ran across an article about Grammy Award winning musician John Mayer, and his new RV. What a cool way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the music industry.

    Chevy 6.0l vs. Ford 6.8l

Thanks for the responses. I think I'm leaning towards the Chevy 6.0l just to avoid the possible spark plug problem. The thing I noticed is there seems to be fewer Chevy chassis units for sale than Ford chassis units. I can't afford new, so will keep looking for something 5-10 years old. Has...

    Chevy 6.0l vs. Ford 6.8l

I'm looking at moving up to a used class c motorhome, but have concerns over which is the best engine. Does anyone have any personal experience with the Chevy 6.0l V-8 or the Ford 6.8l V-10? I've heard somewhere, the Ford 6.8l has a spark plug issue. Is this true, and how common is this problem...

    Reached my eff'ing limit!

I have unfriended most of my so called friends for this exact reason. Too much political crap in both parties. I only keep family Facebook friends. I can't believe the extreme hatred in some political Facebook posts. Shouldn't we all try to get along. Some people think we should all be the same...

    Bike Week 2016

Every motorcycle enthusiast should experience Bike Week at least once. It can be anything from relatively quiet at the track, to total mayhem downtown on Main St. I prefer the track.

    Bike Week 2016

Guy, I've never seen the 2-strokes run at Daytona, but I have seen the TZ750's run at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI back in the 70's. A lot of trees at Road America so there is a lot of echo. I wish I  could have seen the bikes run on the beach at Daytona back in the 50's but I wasn't born yet.

    Tablet Life Expectancy.

I use an iPad mini exclusively, and have used it for 3 yrs. with NO problems. I could see scratches on the touch screen may cause issues. You can recalibrate the touch screen as mentioned by BradKW. I'm sure salesmen will try to sell you a new tablet every couple years, but I won't replace mine...
