What is your favorite season in a year?

    Mech Question

    Ahh my mistake

    Mech Question

I used to have a B250(1991), which is what I believe the OP has. Mine had 3 belt. 2 for the alternator, water pump, crank shaft and fan adjusted via the alternator. The other was for the PS pump, but routed around the fan pulley and crankshaft. If the PS pump belt was broken or seriously loose...

Are you sure it does not also go around and assist with turning the fan?

Planning an across country trip. What should I ask my mechanic?

Most alignment racks can support your vehicle. That being said, I also don't see the need. Everything you need checked can be checked on the ground.

Driver side brake light grounding issues

Does the light use an 1157 dual filament bulb? If so, the problem may not even be the brake light it might be the tail light circuit is bad or the bulb could be in wrong. Does the tail light work properly when you turn on the parking lights, but not the head lights? If the tail lights work at...

    code reader to the rescue

Stern and HDR beat me to it. Do not just put on parts because the code reader said something is wrong. The trouble code isn't even the first step to real diagnostics. Everybody likes shortcuts though. Shortcuts end up costing you much more in the end.

Whelp... Pretty sure that's the engine blown...

True, dealers make very little on warranty work and the techs make even less. However, when I was a full time tech, they had a policy of "planned obsolescence". Parts were designed to wear out at certain points. When I worked at a Nissan dealer, we had corporate call for a timing belt to be...

    Passing Inspection $500 in MO

Florida has no inspections. I love it. I was a state inspector and did retail auto repair in Virginia. There is a reason that I left retail work. I hated the lying. It just wasn't worth it to me.

    New Florida Car Dweller

Great ideas. I work or ride my bike when no gigs are lined up. I put on a lot of weight during my divorce and am now trying to take it off. I am also slowly doing the interior remodel as I decide what I do and don't want. I also fish and camp with the occasional hog hunt.

    Flat Tax

I disagree with income tax in and of itself. It punishes work and productivity. It makes much more sense to punish consumption via a national sales tax. This also has the effect of taxing the underground economy. Prostitutes and drug dealers, for example, don't pay income taxes, but they do buy...

    New Florida Car Dweller

Welcome. I hang mainly in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. This is a good time of year for van/car living. Not hot at all. Did you go to PHS? or EHS? or were you already gone before high school age?
