    Business Cards?

Ran across an offer for come cheap business cards, thinking of getting them. I plan on just having some sort of logo, my name, cell number, e-mail, and maybe my website on the card. I often write these down for people, so I see them as a time saver. Corky

End of the Washing Machine and blessing to RVers?

You'd need a rack to keep the cloths off the bottom where the dirt/gunk will gather. Corky

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Plasgad-Black-Large-Concrete-Mixing-Tub-887102C/205451585 The above plastic tub, a shower curtain and the water heater I gave you earlier will let you shower in your van if you want. http://www.factoryrvsurplus.com/products.php?product_id=1615 The above is a link to...

Garden hose will work, but most parks want you use a white food grade one and they don't put a taste in the water. Propane plan sounds OK, keeping much propane inside is not good. Learning and improving is a given in this lifestyle. The RV water heater isn't cheap to either fix or replace, so...

    Electric Blanket Under the Carpet??

You could use inch board on either side. Also found this, it is designed to be walked on...

Have you figured out a way to keep the propane outside and feed the hose into the van without a huge cold air leak? You might also want to look into adding a Camp Chief Triton water heater and a rigging to make a shower, maybe a pan/tub with shower curtain in back area. Corky I don't know...

Turn the passenger seat around and then find what you need for a foot stool to make it a comfortable place to sit and read or work on a computer. Also a lamp over the passenger seat for reading and a folding table for in front of it. I live in a similar vehicle and have found that being able...

I may have a line on a GV, it's set for a Ford C6, but cheap enough at $1600 that you could get a mounting swap to about anything. Corky

    Electric Blanket Under the Carpet??

I just tried putting a couple of the neoprene mats O use on my floors on top of my electric blanket, they got nice and warm in about 20 minutes. I'm still thinking on this. I had hydronic heating in one of my houses, loved it and it was very energy efficient. Might also look at using my flash...

    Electric Blanket Under the Carpet??

Any body just put an electric blanket under the flooring? I was just playing with the idea, looks like it might work and be fairly low power use. Corky

    Diamond in the Rough

I would expect this RV to sell at about $1200, maybe less. Nice part about being fiberglass is a new window is easy, if the current hole is for an oddball shape all you need is a sawsall to reshape it to take a bigger one of a slightly larger size. This rig is a base, not a finished product, a...

    Here comes another "old newbie"...

Scott, Since you have some time, I can highly recommend TransVans as mobile living unit, just have to find them at the right price for you. I posted a link to one here in San Diego, it will take lots of work, but rewards could be great. One thing about the one I posted I don't like is the rear...

    Diamond in the Rough

    Cheap 12vdc Powered Fluorescent Lights

Bruce, With batteries, the review is right, thats why I hooked mine direct to the house battery! The AA batteries are only about 1000 ma/hrs at best, about 5 hours of run time. Corky

    Cheap 12vdc Powered Fluorescent Lights

Anything with a switching regulator is likely to make RF noise and unless shielded interfere with radios. I bought the DX440 at a garage sale for $10, some of the best money I've ever spent!!!! Corky

    Cheap 12vdc Powered Fluorescent Lights

HDR, You might be right about the RF noise, I don't know as I use sat radio most of the time. I'll dig out the dx440 and check the noise one of these nights. Corky

When choosing, which matters more to you?

I looked at what I wanted to do for the next few years and came to a set of goals for my mobile living unit. I knew I didn't need or want to stealth camp, which made things much easier and the selection of options much larger. I'm the type that likes to explore an area before moving on, which...
