If you were given a choice between a 1980s van with 200000 miles and a 1980s class c

    Real non stick pans

I do indeed have cast iron skillets!! I've had them for many, many years. I've been cooking on an electric stove from the 70s for the past 20 or so years, and cast iron is not as great on that, no it isn't. I also like new, shiny stuff, so I'm gonna enjoy the new pans when I finally go full...

The joys of camping with little girls

I'm camping near Putts for the s'mores, but Cammalu is a great cook, so won't let her get too far away!

Blank slate, sort of. Just stepping in to van life

Welcome, gran! You might think about a bench bed (couch that pulls out into a bed) along the length of the van for the extra seating you need. It might cost a bit to add the seat belts for the kiddos, but it's a way to get it in there without taking up much needed room. How old are the...

If you were given a choice between a 1980s van with 200000 miles and a 1980s class c

I am super jealous of Cammalu's class C and I ain't gonna lie... if I were given a class C, I would ditch the van! I might have to work a little longer to get things in working order, but the room and storage and bathroom and shower and oven and... well, yes, just yes LOL

    Real non stick pans

The Calphalon set I owned did not have any coating at all... and they were non-stick! I gave them away earlier this year because my kids bought me a different set from Walmart that do have the coating... I am giving them away this month. My mom just bought me the Copper Chef Pro set from Sam's...

Hy-Tech Insulating Paints for Fiberglass High Top

I have not. I did point that thermometer thingie at my hightop Saturday afternoon and it was registering 105-125 degrees on the inside. Between weekend trips and cleaning out the house, I'm pretty worthless right now!

Overhead cabinets on fiberglass high top

Your art is always great! And thank you for remembering my poor ability to visualize!! You're bolting the bottom of the shelves through the lip? Did you do this in your van?

Cammalu is Stranded in Mt Vernon!

If you had hollered this morning, I could have come and just hung out with you for a while... you're not that far away... but no... you didn't call me... :-) She's in Illinois, btw. Did you ask a nice trucker to help? They really are great guys... and don't they have a shop there? What kind...

    Hippie Vanster

Welcome, majikman! There are threads that give pictures and descriptions in the "conversions" topic of the forum! Lots and lots of builds in there to get ideas from. As for the mechanics... well, that's another topic in the forum that you can find a lot of info in! I give this info only because...
