I spent the past few weekends working on a CRV conversion. I bought this CRV for cheap after running my last car into the dirt. My intent was not to build it into anything, just transportation. Lately, I've been seeing many videos on SUV conversions (Bob's for example) and thought it would make a great stealth camper for places like Cape Cod and the NH White Mountains, where a larger truck camper would cause issues. For me, those places tend to be weekend trips, so an SUV is perfect!

I did this project in reverse. I usually post build videos and then a reveal. I just added the reveal video and have a massive pile of building clips that I need to sort into something coherent. Hopefully, in a few days, I will have build clips posted as well.

The reveal:

Here is a 360 video, playing with a new camera:

Hopefully some fresh ideas here. Let me know what you think, suggest improvements, etc.

The “Hondobago” lives! Lol!!! Slept many nights in a 1986 Honda Civic and my son named it! Fun memories!

We will look forward to seeing more about your build and adventures.

Have some interesting trips planned this spring along with a NASCAR race at Pocono.
You might want to start a “Captain’s Log. You can start your own personal thread of your andventures for travel annd your build decisions too if you wish in your own dedicated personal thread in the forum area titled “Share Your Story”. That keeps your travel stories and build details bound together in easy to find location. Create your own title for it referencing your vehicle by a specific model name if you wish to do that. Your user name is of course already tagged to everything you post.

thats a cool idea!

Spent the day sorting thru a million video clips for my Honda CRV build. Just released a playlist with six videos showing all the steps in probably too much detail :). Went thru planning, bed frame, window coverings, kitchen module, pretty cool desk made from a Walmart TV tray, and a power station mod to add make a cheap power station have 4X the capacity.

Hopefully, some ideas people can use. Happy to answer questions of course.
