Just Bought a 12ft box truck need advice

Yeah the walls are 3/8 reinforced plywood with fiberglass.  I just don't know how thick the floor is.  The supreme website says new builds are 1-1/8in 'lamindated hardwood'.  Agree on the solar and I'm trying to build a 2.5kwh lithium ion battery.  Don't know if I'll succeed but I've only got 5k...

Just Bought a 12ft box truck need advice

I'm going to get a cordless black and decker jigsaw since I already invested in their system with batteries etc.  Not sure if this was asnwered before but how thick is the floor?  I searched for 'supreme dry body' and I think the floor is 1-1/8 laminated hardwood?  I covered the original floor...

    Survival tips for Baltimore Maryland?

Car breaks ins are EXTREMELY common in Baltimore.  Anyone who has lived there for any length of time will either have it happen to them or someone they know.  Neighborhoods can change block by block.  The easiest solution is to stay outside of the beltway and not in the city.  When I lived in...

Just Bought a 12ft box truck need advice

Thank you for clarifying I was becoming paranoid about ruining the structure.  Yeah after thinking about it, it's not worth the moisture risk.  I mean I would be living inside of a particle board box too much risk for mold etc. Thanks jony lots of great information.  So you recommend using hot...

Just Bought a 12ft box truck need advice

They didn't give me anything besides a bill of sale.  If I had to do it over again I would not.  It was a real pain in the ass.  You talk to 4 different people via email/phone and none of them talk to each other.  And the van shook so bad on the 350mile drive home I was not happy.  They did fix...

Just Bought a 12ft box truck need advice

Afaik my window ac actually uses a different design, whereas it uses the water you would normally have to drain and uses it to cool the coils and it evaporates.  Ok I will have to just buy the more expensive hitch. I have no idea what I am doing.  I only know what I have seen on youtube.  I...

Just Bought a 12ft box truck need advice

12ft 2014 gmc savanna previously a penske truck, truck was finished by a company called Supreme but I couldn't find exact information on my make/model/year.  I 'think' the walls are 3/8 plywood but I don't know and don't know how to know.  Everything on the supreme site alludes to 3/8.   I...

How to clean box van floors

Ok thank you for that.  If the experienced people are saying it is a bear, than it's probably something I should not attempt.

How to clean box van floors

You were right.  Even light scrubbing and the wood starts to degrade.  If I replace the wood do I (or should I) use the existing screws?  I was thinking of getting 3 8ft plywood sheets and take off the existing 3 panels and trace the pattern onto the new wood.  I can also label the existing...

How to clean box van floors

I like the idea of Tide Powder, that way I can use the rest to clean my clothes. So a bucket, warm water, a scrub brush, and tide powder? Then I will dry with a rag, towel, or some old tshirts.

How to clean box van floors

I just bought a 12ft box van.  The floors have some stains, and definitely some funk when you first open the roll up door.  I'd like to know how to clean this wood -products to use etc.  Thought about replacing the wood but that might be more work then it is worth.  Should I use a de-greaser or...

Opinion on 05 GMC Savanna 80k miles 10ft cube onan, dually, heat, roof AC barn doors

So even after you remove the interior cabinets and the excess industrial equipment, it would still be near max weight?  Also is it true that if your vehicle is over 10kgvw and you travel interstate you have to have a CDL?  Got a lot of conflicting information on this.

Opinion on 05 GMC Savanna 80k miles 10ft cube onan, dually, heat, roof AC barn doors

Absolutely genius, thank you!!!!  So glad you showed me the interior.  I would have to vote it out, way too much stuff on the walls and it would be a nightmare to insulate.  Could probably buy it and rip everything out, but would probably be above my ability.

Opinion on 05 GMC Savanna 80k miles 10ft cube onan, dually, heat, roof AC barn doors

Yeah that was one of the things I was concerned about.  Is the cutoff generallly 10,000 GWR?  I live in Maryland.  I had a hard time understanding the DMV rules regarding weight.  I know it is a dually so I figured it might be over 10k
