    Induction cooktop, battery bank required?

The important thing is being able to make coffee the next morning. At least to me. My van has 300ah of lithium batteries. When fully charged at end of the travel day, this is about the right amount to be able to run the van overnight, make dinner, and start the next day with coffee and breakfast.

    Good C Class RVs?

Actually sales data shows that there are many more class C’s sold than Class A’s. https://www.rvia.org/news-insights/rv-industrys-june-shipment-report-concludes-record-setting-quarter. But way more travel trailers are sold than motor homes.

Running CPAP on DC, need help

To help determine if the problem is with the battery, your new 12v cord, or something with the CPAP running off 12v, perhaps try your new setup on other 12v supplies like one on your car dashboard. If it works there, then it’s likely something about your new battery setup. I’ve run several...

Off Road[split] Looking for advice on purchasing a smallish (25-27' ish) 5th wheel

While imperfect, I suggest you download one or more cell coverage apps like coverage map or Sensorly on you mobile device to gauge the coverage where you want to go Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The limits of my 1185 watt solar system

Could it be that the Kill-a-Watt meter itself is inaccurate with a MSW inverter?

    Nissan gives off grid ....

Nice concept, but strange capacity. 700Wh is not much energy. 700Wh / 12V = 58Ah. Maybe sized to keep the weight manageable. Also it appears to be designed for Europe or other 230VAC markets. 400W of solar panels would take up a lot of surface area for a pop up trailer like the one in the video.

    Considering full time RVing

Most would call the Leisure Travel vans class B+. The extra room might be nice for full timing. They have some nice floor plans and a pretty good reputation. But we love the mobility of our class B and really like the Sprinter chassis and haven’t had any significant issues with it. And we take...

    Best compact camping chair?

In the early spring visit stores like Target, Home Depot, CVS when they first put out their seasonal outdoor living furniture. About 3 years ago we scored inexpensive steel framed chairs with webbing that are comfortable and fold compactly to fit in our van.

One Pound DOT Certified Propane Tank

I have been using the flame king tanks and refill kit for about two years and they have worked. It takes a couple of times filling them to get it down. I consider it better than tossing the non-refillable ones that are considered hazardous waste. Likely cheaper over the long haul too. I use...

    Inverters

I have found from some measurements that the three Cpap machines without humidification I have use way less energy than the labeled values. The measurements range from about 7W to 25W. This is a small load for the inverters mentioned. The smallest One is rated at 1.5A at 13V or 20W. The biggest...
