I started a thread over here for the RV park since we've engaged in quite a bit of discussion about it and for HDR's convenience if he chooses to move the discussion out of the current thread.
I just talked to the manager of the west side again and the site is now down for him as well. He's currently working on a facebook page for Coyote Howls West. Since a different manager takes care of East and hasn't asked for any additional web presence I encouraged him to put information up for the East as well since the website is down and they don't know when it will be back up. I also mentioned that on this board most of the interest has been regarding east as well.
Both east and west are owned by the water district that was mentioned in the first post about it.
Both east and west allow gardening within your space with obviously east having much more space for it.
Most of west allows for pull-through as there are small roads in between the spaces. Most of east are back in spots.
He said that because of the economy if the parks fill up(it hasn't the last couple of years) it's usually the east that fills first so keep that in mind if you are interested in wintering there. IOW don't assume a spot will be available.
Wild burros do walk through the grounds on both sides as does other wildlife so keeping food and garbage properly stored/disposed of is a must.
I looked up the average temps for the area and his idea of "hot" is much different from mine. It gets
HOT there! It's the desert. Looks like a great home base because most of the travel for my genealogical project will be during the hotter months anyway and the temps will be cool enough for me to grow food while I'm "home". Win/win.
I'll post more info as I get it because this looks like it may be a great place for me to land after I move from this eviction.
