You could own a historical, notorious van

Politics aside, that van actually looks kinda nice. From what i've read those 'stickers' are actually vinyl cling sheets on the insides of the windows only...no bumper stickers; no stickers on the paint anywhere....EZ PZ removal.
Apparently his mother had just thrown him out of her place, so he moved into his van. With all those 'conversion van' windows he needed some type of privacy screening and he chose poorly....not exactly 'stealth'. But that's a pretty clean looking Dodge. (Although being in Florida, Id wanna check pretty closely for rust.)

Kinda like buying a drug dealer's Lamborghini at auction....you know he was responsible for many bad things, but hey, it's a Lambo!...the bullet holes can be filled!   :rolleyes:

If the MAGA Bomber had been a bigger deal (if he had actually killed someone famous) the van would likely end up in a history museum somewhere. Like McVeigh's car.

But since he will fade into obscurity, his van will be just another van.

I'm passing on owning Dodges for awhile. Mine finally croaked and was declared "Brain Dead" at the shop. $1,300 for repairs? On a 20 year old van? Nah. got an Chevy now....We'll see how it goes.

Buy it, part it out for dirt cheap, then after all parts are sold inform everyone where the parts came from {evil grin}

A little Goo gone and a razor blade and it's just another van.. don't know how it smells though [emoji23]

welcome to america, where you are innocent till proven guilty. unless you are a suspect in alleged crimes. the you forfeit all your assets while you await trial?

some thing is wrong there. including the fact there is not a public outrage at the government seizing assets prior to and/or without conviction of a crime

It was seized as evidence. Like the Unabomber's cabin.

no, it was forfeited. if it was seized as evidence. it would be held till trial. then if not found guilty it would be returned. but that is not how the "new" civil forfeiture works. they take what they think/or say was involved with a crime and it is gone. read up on it

Ahh, OK. I'm quite sure it will be introduced as "evidence" though, since that is where he built the bombs. Assuming there's a trial.

of course it will, but even if they dont manage to convict him, the chance of getting forfeited property back is a long shot

Most jurisdictions are not going to put something like this in an auction. It will likely be scraped after it is no longer needed as evidence, however that will be years from now. We had a home in my area that was used by a serial killer and it was destroyed.
