From back of drivers side door all the way round to front to back of passenger side door????

I have done a search for these on the aZon and in here, but I cant seem to find...

Anyone have a linkie or a thought where I might find something like that???

Thx, in advance!!!!!

Instead of getting one of these for the van I sewed a quilted interior liner that matches the window curtains the rest of the way around. I prefer the inside cover because I can put it up without having to get outside the vehicle....handy if it's nasty weather out there.

I also like it inside because the quilted cover helps keep the heat out or the heat in whichever way is needed that day. I fasten it to the sunvisors with binder clips as well as using the clips on the plastic molding around my side windows.

I have an Adco brand for my Chevy and would never be without one, fits well, easy to put on and indestructible. They still have them for just about every van ever made. See this link:

Just bought an ADCO cover made of tyvek for my travel trailer. Recommended by an RV mechanic. You might need someone be to reinforce the stitching. But tyvek breathes so it can dissipate moisture under it from condensation. Seems to be a good product.

Bob, that zon link pulls up 4 pages of these...

Didn't see one for the Chevy express...

Does yours have a specific model number such as a 2401 or 2502 or whatever?

Thax for all the links! Still looking...

Glad to help.

I love mine, probably one of the best things I bought for the van. I've used it on a 2001, 2007 and now a 2015 Express. Worked great on all of them.

Never thought of these. Hmmm... But when several someones say they like them so much and "wouldn't be without one", now that gets my attention!

What exactly do they do? What is it about them that you like? Better than reflectix? Easy to use? Don't they get dirty and are a pain to clean?

Waiting to hear back. Thanks!

I was wanting one so that while I'm still in the build phase and not really going yet,
it will provide interior shading so to speak
and later it should provide privacy while were parked, but not necessarily boon-docking...

I see them all the time on RV's that have been placed into storage, so I figured why not?

They go on the outside so the heat never gets inside the van. With Reflectix on the inside of the van, the heat is already in through the windshield and you are just trying to confine it between the reflectix and the glass. It almost never seals well enough to do that and the heat slips around it (that's not true of side windows where they usually seal tight around the frame).

At best, Reflectix behind the windshield helps a little. But with the covers, none of the heat gets into the van.

Plus, Reflectix blocks all the light making the van dark. The covers give off a soft, white glow so the van has a lot more light in it.

Thank you! I'm all over it! Especially since my plans have changed and I will be stuck in south Texas for a good part of the summer.

Yes, I remember these facts from your video. Never saw one before, thought they were amazing. Pretty sure you said they do NOT make them for minivans and I don't see one listed at the Adco link. Too bad, great product.

Kathleen, if you sew or know someone who does, they are not that hard to make.

Basically, marine grade vinyl or better, make a template with kraft paper, 2 seams to join the side window panels to the windshield panel and a couple of cutouts for around the side mirrors. Attaching to the van can be: a) magnets sewn to the edge at the back of the windows, b) strips of vinyl or elastic that go around the corners of the doors before they're closed, c) a pocket that fits around the edge of the door.

The earlier ones (70's and 80's had magnets).

Bob, do these slip over the door to stay on or totally on the outside by magnets? If over the door ever have any water get in during rain storms?

I never would have thought of this - thank you!  They don't seem to make them for my van, either.  I'll have to put this on the project list.

Thanks, Almost There! Would not have thought of making my own. Have a sewing machine. Would have to ask shop where I bought it for right kind of needle, and if the experts there feel my model would sew through the vinyl.

It's on my to-do van list, which gets longer by the day :s
