The other day, I was at the local  pull it. They had 2 Aerostar window vans that had the windows covered with a white fully opaque film on the outside of the glass.    this allowed the windows to be opened for ventilation.  Does an one have any idea what this film is and possibly where to procure it.  Thanks Curt

I'm not sure if it is the same stuff, but Lowes has a lot of different films you can apply to glass.  They have several that are opague for bathroom windows and such.  This may be the type film you saw.  I would put it on the inside of the window if it were me.  It would have the same effect and last longer that way.

If you don't mind no vision through the windows, contact (brand) paper works well on glass.
