Will charging my phone occasionally on my starter battery have a noticeable impact?

Nana4, have you discharged these batteries and are just letting them sit trying to not discharge them any further?
Whenever any lead acid battery is under 80% charged the sulfates on the plates begin to harden and become much more difficult to redissolve intot he leectrolyte.
The lower the state of charge and the longer they remain undercharged, the more persistent these sulfates become, and then the battery requires rather extreme and punishing measures in an attempt to redissolve the sulfates into the electrolyte, and with not a great chance of recovering them.
Slowly drainng lead acid batteries to less than 50% charged and leaving them there, is the third best way to destroy them, The first being a sledge hammer and the second being spooning baking soda into the cells.
The parasitic draws of modern RVS when boondocking, are quite large, and more solar, more generator, more charging in general is required to counteract just the parasitic draws, in addition to the other things one requires batteries for.
