Hello,

I have just discovered this site and am excited to read and learn! I did a search, but didn't find any info about connectivity at Rubber Tramp Rendezvous.

Is there any 3 or 4g out there?

Thanks,
Paisley

Last year I got 3 bars on my Verizon JetPack, and 2 bars on my T-Mobile Samsung 2 smart phone. This year I'm bringing a Wilson Sleek booster for even stronger signals if needed. Many of the attendees use mobile devices. Look forward to seeing you there.

AT&T coverage is good too. I don't remember whether it's 3 or 4g or how strong the signal is but it's plenty fast enough for uploading photos.

Welcome to the Forums! Hope to see you at Quartzsite!

Thank you guys.

Has anyone tried using it for VioP, like Skype?
I teach on the internet and would rather not take time off if I could work.

I was able to get "out" with my AT&T go-phone iPhone 3gs. Bringing a verizon hot spot this time for the laptop.

For wifi, you need to go into town where some businesses have free wifi.

I have 10G of data and can use my Verizon as a hotspot. So, I'm just wondering if I'll get my cell signal out there.

you will definately get signal there, it's not far off I-10 which is the major California/Arizona corridor and the area gets good coverage.

Good 4G there. I don't go anywhere without good internet. I gotta keep a close eye on all of you!!!! Kinda like herding cats! :)

^^^ Bob the Cat Herder^^^ lmao....

Has anyone tried Sprint out there for cell phone carrier? Wondering also if my phone will work?

I'm just a couple of miles from the RTR site as I write this. My Verizon Jetpack gets four bars of 4G with a booster, two bars without. My iPhone 5c gets four bars of Verizon 4G with the booster, three without.

Fortunatley, it's nearly always a beautiful melody of purrrrrrrrrrs and meowwwwwwwwwwwwwwws. But every so often the big Cats come out in us and its a ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! :) :) ;)

Surprisingly I'm getting good Sprint 3G out here. Data speeds won't be great but it seems usable.

Verizon 4G has been fairly solid with no antenna.

No problem herding cats here, just the dogs.

I have full bars with my sprint
