van.jpg   I'm getting ready to head back to the frozen north and finally get to work on my new to me class C.   Now I'm thinking it might be smart to get a smaller vehicle that I can tow and sell my beloved van.  Honestly, I have no idea what the value would be and hoped you guys might be able to help.   I'm not ready to sell just yet but I'll describe it (honestly) like I was listing it.
1987 Ford Econoline 150 6 cyl 5.4 liter engine.  High top at least 6 foot interior height.  Runs perfectly.  Four new tires in the last year.  I've owned it for two years and it's needed a new master cylinder and a front caliper (bad when I bought it) I have also replaced the heater core, U joints and a leaky tranny hose.  The odometer reads 75000.  The car fax says those are actual miles based on registration records and it appears that the van sat for many years unused.  The body is great.  The passengers side floorboard is rusty from the heater core leak but no rust to speak of anywhere else.  The fiberglass roof is decent but water does pool in one area and in heavy rain, I've had water leak in where it meets the van roof.
The interior has a 32x80 inch bed running down the drivers side with a mini fridge and enclosed storage above and below.  There is a porti potty in a cubby across from the bed.  An rv sized bathtub raised to waist height is across the back along with storage cabinets and a desk.
That's about all I can think off right now, obviously I will take more pictures when I put the van on the market.

Forgot the 20 gallon fresh water tank, on demand hot water heater and battery operated pump.  Also curtains for all the windows.  That interior photo was before I did any painting or finish work.

You forgot to mention that skylight.

Is there any insulation in those walls? Which stuff did you install yourself?

Also, it might sell faster if you tell the story about the "life history" and adventures the van has been on.

The Ford inline six is 300 cubic inches, or 4.9 L in displacement. Very popular motor for the Gen Three vans. My 1986 E150 cargo van has the same motor.

Thanks Lee, I'm sure you're right about the motor size. Why I decided to write a post at 1:00 am is beyond me, I don't function well at that hour. Grant, I built everything in the van myself. No I'm not a finish carpenter but it's not bad at all for an old lady. I set up the plumbing and wired the pump as well but I did that for several dog grooming vans so I know it's done right. There is some insulation behind the paneling (done when I bought it) but after sleeping for a few nights in below zero weather, I know it could use more. The van was also wired for electric before I got it. There's a circuit box in the rear but I just run a cord in to a multi-plug strip for my use. No skylight but there is a roof vent with a cover over it to keep rain out and let air in. I'd be very happy with $3500 Wagoneer, thanks for the quote.

I would probably lower the tub to people height, then ask about $4500.

Or sell it as a mobile dog grooming van, for the same price.

Be sure and mention, in the ad, that you did all that work yourself. It makes readers trust the quality of the work better.
