Ok, done looked up what I could find, just question for all. GMC Savana want to install a fan, intake and exhaust , no need remote.
I'm thinking I want to go with the Maxxair with the integrated cover to keep lower profile.
What's the opinions of those that have a fan in their van?

I just installed the Maxxair fan in my van. I really like the 10 fan speeds and the reversing fan feature. Mine didn't come with the extra cover but I may add it.

I did not order with a remote because it seemed like a silly extravagance. Now that i have some time with the fan I really, really wish I had the remote control version. Many times I'm packed and ready to go and realize I've left the vent open and fan running. I have to climb back in to the back of the van over packed gear to close it/turn it off. Not a huge deal but definitely a darn-it moment; with the remote it would be an easy thing to close/shut off the vent from outside the van. And when camped and the day starts to get hot it would be nice to operate the vent from outside the van. Also there are times it would be nice to be able to operate it remotely from the drivers seat.

Iv have the same van as you and the same question LOL. I got the GMC savana because i didnt want a hi top. i like to be able to get into parking decks and this van will do that. i want to keep the height low so putting a fan on top may be out of the question. I dont want to cut into the body at all actually. im thinking of venting through the license plate bracket. its just plastic. i could drill out most of it, cover it with screen and off set the license plate a few inches. i could mount about a 6 inch fan on the inside. i would have to have a cover to put on it while driving to keep dust and exhaust out and only use it while parked and the engine off though. just a thought.
