so am I an idiot,

what is an ashram or a kirtan?

I have no idea what you are trying to communicate.

Places of worship.

I am old enough that I have lost my mind, money and material things and don't really care, just want to go out gracefully. The older I get the less I worry.

HDR, are you familiar with the concept of an "intentional community" (mentioned beside "ashram")?

Maybe you've heard of the Israeli "kibbutz" concept?
An ashram is very roughly similar (in terms of intentional communities), but with strong religious education/immersion.
In the 60s, many young Western Seekers [1] went to India to live in ashrams, and learn. According to my hippie friends, it was usually a life-changing (in a good way) Journey. :)

Ashrams also have much in common with a retreat or hermitage in Christianity.

The wikipedia article is extremely short & shallow:

As to losing your mind, I remain far more concerned that you claimed to not know what Velveeta is. :(
Fortunately, it's far easier for you to rectify your Velveeta issue. :D

* [1] That would be the meaning-of-life type of "seeker", not the team position in the fine sport of Quidditch. :)

well ok thanks, I guess I am not up on my religion.

by the way religion is just like politics so lets drop the religious stuff right here. in other words no more.

"If money were no object".....is an odd question to be asking on "CHEAP RV Living"....just sayin'

"If money were no object"

I would buy a big piece of land close to Quartzsite so RTR wouldn't have to go to California.

I'd travel more, travel farther. And I'd share the wealth.

i've always loved horses...but never had one of my own...
i think i'd buy LOTS of land and rescue Mustangs, and live on a nice ranch to take care of them.....and hire lots of cowboys to help me ...

Start a shelter rescue type for humans. Would do it my way though. Not just a bed, but employment, housing, family rehabilitation, and lots of other things. After I was satisfied with how things were(not just USA), then prob alot of coke and whatever goes good with that...lol no I wouldn't even dream about that last part. Srsly...

lol....i had my fill of experimenting when i was young...no desire now...just give me an ice cold beer or ice cold gin & tonic once in a while.....

If money were no object we'd have lots of land for RTR wherever we wanted to have it. Everyone who wanted a van would have one.

But when you take the struggle out of life you also take away some of the joy that comes with amazing, hard-won accomplishments.

I think I’d put my ****s back where they belong. May as well do the face while I’m at it...

We have talked for years about building a good Trade School here where we live. Auto stuff, house hold stuff, landscape stuff, Building stuff, boat
building stuff, (we live on an island) animal work, baking etc... Also we would hire someone to run it! Because we are going to see the world.....
Family members would get money to learn/educate themselves to be able to do what they want. Come on Powerball!
We have fun talking about doing surprise charity stuff..... We would of course update our cars and toys, but not sure if that would include toy/play land.

I would get a head transplant. On a nice18 year old body with a tubal ligation.
Ted

Take care of loved ones, but a nice little house for a home base, travel the world again.
