I once left keys at a campground on the last day of the season. The next spring, during my first trip of the season, I asked for them and got not one but two sets of my keys. I'm not sure if both sets were left at the same time, or if a set was left on a previous trip. I do tend to keep extra sets of keys, because I'm always losing them or locking them in the car.

I found a good place to hide my extra keys.

So far I haven't forgotten anything that I can remember. Now 1 thing I ALWAYS do it check the towbar and make sure its still connected, even when I stop to grab something to eat, I walk back and check it, and make sure somebody didn't mess with it.

Bob wears a floaty keychain around his neck with his key. I'm afraid to use a magnetic holder under the vehicle, I figure i'll just call aaa or geico or whoever does roadside assistance. I wore one of those keychain necklaces in the navy and I hate how they pull your chest hairs lol.

Perhaps RV/Van people should adopt a line item for their check list.

"Do a Walk Around".   You walk around your rig and make sure everything
is disconnected and the rig is clear for take off.

Make a small cardboard sign that fits over your instrument panel that
says, "use your check list".   It's your last reminder.

It might prevent some expensive/embarrassing mistakes.

I always forget to make a checklist.

Then there would be some details that I would forget to add to the list.

My thinking is more on the lines of duplicating some (less expensive and not perishable) items, so there is one of each in both of my RV's. Save time and lower stress level when I switch from the stationary TT to the MH.

I have a solution for that Tony. I keep a spare key for everyone of my storage compartments, in the Compartment. So I Always have a spare.;)
