Hi, I'm new here but I've read a lot of the content on the site and I keep seeing the term "sticks and bricks" but I have no idea what it means.
Sometimes I see it referenced like "I'm going out to the sticks and bricks" so I can only guess that means the person is going camping/dwelling in a cold, remote location...
(I've heard "the sticks" used to describe usually a rural country-side, middle of nowhere type location, and "the bricks" used to describe a very cold temperature like 10 degrees or less).
But I've also seen people use it in terms of heading back to to the "sticks and bricks" and the context seemed to imply were going back to their house or home.
Any explanation here would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
